# The Warp Gates

The Warp Gates are portals located on **some specific planets**.

They were initially off, but they were **activated** **by the presence of worthy beings**.

Once they're activated, **everything**, alive or not, can cross them.

Crossing them allows one to instantly reach the Nodus, the crossroads of the universe where species will meet for the first time.

But so far, the only one to be discovered is on [Oloma](/vyder-lore-book/planets/oloma.md).

And judging by the vegetation covering it, the build is quite old. **Thousands, maybe more.**

One thing is sure, no [Ecleray](/vyder-lore-book/species/eclerays.md), or any other actual species we know of, could have created this building.
