# The Nodus

It looks like an empty city but not like ruins. As if the ones who built it did so a long time ago, but it still looks brand new.

The Nodus can welcome **a wide variety of species**.

A stellar energy source allows the [Ecleray](/vyder-lore-book/species/eclerays.md) to survive.

What strikes you when you arrive on the Nodus is the calm.

**The cold calm of Space**.

And the dance of the billions of stars adorning the immense edifices with colors still unknown.

It is also the feeling that we are part of something **bigger than ourselves.**

Something that seems to have been there all along.

As if our arrival could not have the slightest impact.

**It is to be mistaken**.

The Nodus is nothing **without the people who walk through it**.

It is an impressive place with a simple function: to be the contact point **where the species will meet** each other for the first time.

Therefore, it'll be the anchor of their **upcoming exchanges**.

**These exchanges are to take many forms**: diplomatic, commercial, technological, philosophical, military...

What form will each species choose?
