# Catmeleon

Catmeleons are powerful wild animals. 

**They use their feathers to reflect the light of the two suns**.

Depending on the angle of inclination, the feathers reflect a different color. 

Catmeleons use this technique **to camouflage themselves** in their environment and hunt without being spotted. 

They have gradually lost their status as wild animals to the benevolent [<mark style="color:red;">Eclerays</mark>](/vyder-lore-book/species/eclerays.md).&#x20;

Inhabitants of [<mark style="color:red;">Oloma</mark> ](/vyder-lore-book/planets/oloma.md)use them as mounts thanks to their powerful legs and endurance.&#x20;

While transport systems have been developed around Ascanda, **catmeleons are the most common transport between remote villages.**
